Why does the sky look blue?
Answer: The sky appears blue due to the scattering of sunlight by dust particles floating in the atmosphere. Of the seven colours of sunlight, blue has the shortest wavelength. As we know, the shorter the wavelength of the light, the higher the diffraction. As the wavelength of the blue colour is shorter, the diffraction of blue light is more. As a result, more blue light passes through the atmosphere and reaches our eyes. So, when we look up, we see the sky as blue.
