Why do clothes dry faster in Summer than in Winter?
The average daytime temperature in summer is higher than the average daytime temperature in winter, but the air contains more water vapour in summer. On the other hand, in winter, the amount of water vapour in the air is less. So evaporation from wet clothes is slower in summer, but in winter, because the air has less water vapour, evaporation from wet clothes is faster and wet clothes dry faster.
