Why do hot water pipes crack more than cold water pipes in cold countries?

Hot water pipes crack more than cold water pipes in colder countries. When water freezes and turns into ice, it increases in volume. This volume expansion causes tremendous pressure and the pipe bursts. But it has been found that hot water pipes crack more than cold water. This is because cold water has more dissolved air than hot water. When water freezes, this dissolved air is released. That’s why when the water freezes in the cold water pipe, the volume increases to occupy the space of the dissolved air. So there is no pressure in the pipe.

But because there is no dissolved air in the hot water pipe, the pipe bursts due to the expansion of volume when ice forms. So, hot water pipes crack more than cold water pipes in cold countries.
